Little Ripplers Program
The Little Ripplers is a program offered by the Apex Breakers for children who are 3-5 as an introduction to swim team. SWIMMERS MUST BE AT LEAST AGE 3 by June 1st, BE POTTY TRAINED, AND BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE THE ABILITY TO JUMP TO A COACH IN THE WATER. This is not a replacement for swim lessons/instruction that is typically done in a one on one or a small group setting but rather a great adjunct.
The Little Ripplers will be taught the basics of swimming and be exposed to an introduction of the following strokes: Freestyle, Backstroke, and Breastroke. In addition, they will be introduced to water safety and have their swim instruction performed by one of the coaching staff of the Apex Breakers. Little Ripplers will not be required to purchase a team suit and will have the OPTION to participate in one home meet swimming backstroke or freestyle, where they will have a catcher in the water at all times.
Should a child progress and demonstrate the ability to swim mostly independently he or she MAY be invited to transition from the Little Ripplers to the Apex Breakers at any time. The fee structure for the Little Ripplers is the same as the Apex Breakers which is $100.00 per participant (with a discount of $90 for 2nd swimmer, $75 for 3rd swimmer in the same family). Little Ripplers will be assessed at the first practice. If they are not willing and able to swim with a coach, they will be asked to try again next season (team fees will be refunded, pool fees are not refundable).
