Hello! My name is Jaime Fullerton and I am a rising sophomore at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, NC, where I study Environmental Science. I just finished my first year of collegiate swimming, and I am looking forward to the next three years of college swim! I have been an Apex Breaker for six years, and this will be my last year swimming for the Breakers before I age out. I have been a Breakers coach for three years, and I also swam year round for New Wave Swim Team for three years. I am very excited to work with the entire team as a whole, and looking forward to seeing each swimmer improve and have some fun! Here's to an amazing season Breakers!
My name is Andrew Joyner and I will be a rising freshman at Carnegie Mellon University in the fall. I have been swimming for ten years with Raleigh Swimming Association, where I have begun coaching their youngest age group over the last two years. I have been swimming with the Breakers for seven years now and this will be my sixth year coaching. In the past, I have worked mostly with the Little Ripplers and our younger swimmers, so I am really looking forward to getting to work with all of our athletes this year! Go Breakers!
Coach Jason has 20+ years of coaching experience and 18 years with the Breakers. He has loved to be a part of this team for the enthusiasm and atmosphere that this team has generated and been known for over the years. Jason is a full time Physical Therapist and coaches part time with a year round swim team (YOTA). He embraces the opportunity to engage and encourage his athletes to be the best they can be both in and out of the water. He takes pride in creating an environment where kids can build self esteem and realize the benefit of life long participation in the AWESOME sport of swimming.
My name is Nicholas Levering and I have been a Breaker for 12 years and this is my second year coaching. I used to swim year round for RSA but but I have always enjoyed the attitude and environment of summer swimming a lot more. I am a senior at Apex High School and will be attending NC State for engineering this fall. I love swimming and coaching for the Breakers and I'm looking forward to an exciting year.
Hi! I'm Sam, and this is my second year coaching for the Breakers. I've been swimming year round for YOTA for 11 years and will be swimming at the University of Houston next school year (go Coogs!). I love giving swim lessons and am available most weekdays. Can't wait for another amazing season with the Breakers!
My name is Kyle Benton. I’m graduating this year from Apex High School and will be attending Appalachian State University this Fall. I’ve swam competitively for the YOTA swim team for 11 years. I’ve also been swimming for summer swim leagues since I was 6 years old. Over the past couple of summers, I was Assistant Coach for the YMCA Cary Storm and Lifetime Fitness Marlins. My name is Trey Harloff, and I am a rising senior at Apex Friendship High school. I swim year round for YOTA, and am super excited for the 2017 Apex Breakers summer swim season. I have been on the Breakers for 12 years, and have been coaching the team for 4 years. My favorite strokes are Breaststroke and Butterfly, and I cannot wait to help to teach kids about the wonderful sport of swimming. I have a great work ethic, and I am ready for any sort of challenge that comes my way. I take adversity as a chance to improve myself and learn from past mistakes. Hey Breakers!! My name is Hannah Kota and I will be a senior at Green Hope High School in the fall. This will be my 10th year swimming for the Breakers and my 8th year swimming for a year around team (YOTA). It will also be my 4th year coaching the Breakers and I have just recently started to teach swim lessons. I have always loved being a part of the Breakers because of the fun atmosphere and being able to pass on my knowledge of swimming to the younger kids. Hello! I'm Isabella Levering, I am 14 years old and a rising sophomore at AFHS. This will be my 12th year as an apex breaker and my first year as a volunteer coach. I am very excited to work with all the kids and give back to the team in any way I can. This season will be great, and I can't wait to meet all the new swimmers joining us this year.
